The Drift - Art along Main St.

For the second year (or is it the third?) Penny Parry is a participating artist in the annual The Drift art festival along Main St.

It's so exciting because the artists get to bring their art to where the people are: participating shops and cafes.

Penny Parry has Rhizome Café all to herself. Her photo display is inspired by her and Tim's trip to El Salvador in 2004.

Check it out! Rhizome Café - 317 E. Broadway

Broadway construction winding down

Tania here. Well, it looks as though the street sewer repair and repaving may be coming to an end. You wouldn't imagine how many people it has affected.

It looks as though they're grinding away the top 2 inches of pavement outside our windows.. with an intent to repave. Though everyone else will be happy when the traffic congestion goes back to its normal pace, I'll just be happy we don't have to work with the jackhammering outside the window. ;-P
